  • Inability to taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches

However, if your symptoms become serious, be sure to seek emergency medical care. Serious symptoms include:

  • Blue lips or face
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Chest pain

Tip: Be sure to bring a cellphone charger with you to the hospital so that you can communicate with friends and family.

Make a Plan to Self-Quarantine

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, the last thing you should do is make a final grocery run to stock up. That puts others at risk. Instead, make sure you have a plan in place to self-quarantine. That plan should include:

  • Enough food for two weeks, including a way to order groceries
  • A supply of tissues, disposable gloves, and antibacterial wipes

  • Ways to ask for no-contact support from your loved ones
